I didn't set up to build an online business with the goal of making fortunes. At the time... Listen to the Podcast...or keep reading!  

​

What I really wanted was to create a business and a lifestyle that supports my life and not a business that owned me - Let me explain!  

​

Until recently, I had what many would call a great life: I've build a seven-figure veterinary business and from the outside it might have looked like I had it all. A thriving business, a great income and a great team.

​

But the truth was so different!

​

After years of building the '' perfect life'' ( with stress, long hours, on calls, etc.) I started to struggle sleeping, I gained weight...became sad and angry and on top of that I was spending less and less time with my loved ones and my passions.

​

Although I achieved the traditional success (at a high cost), it doesn't mean a lot without your health and the time to enjoy it with your loved ones.

​

I realized that whatever I chase or plan for, I will get !  

(Most people build a career, smart people build freedom) 

​

...So I  thought I need to plan and build a business around my life and not the other way around...and I have to admit, it was very scary in the beginning, I had my doubts (lots of them)...but true success and Great Life looks a lot different that what we'd always been taught...

​

My shift happen when I found this online business program that genuinely transformed my life. 

​

I know now that a good life and happiness is the only thing worth planning and chasing! and now I want to give back - help other business professionals who struggle to find time to spend with their loved ones (like I did) and all aspiring entrepreneurs build their online business even without prior experience, because I believe everyone deserves a good life where your business supports your lifestyle and not the other way around.

But most of all is to help you figure out if this all online business thing is even right for you!

1. So What Is Online Business: Can You Earn Online?

So...first things - first !  - What exactly is an Online Business ?

Simply put it's a business that generates it's primary revenue through the internet.

​

Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur looking to expand your reach or someone dreaming of starting your first online business, the online (internet) world provides a multitude of opportunities.

​

 So, what are the Most Popular Online Businesses in my opinion?

OK, here's tree beginner-friendly online business models to consider:

​

 1). E-commerce also known as Electronic Commerce 

It's all about selling physical products on line, whether it's your own product or you purchase and sell someone else's products through your own online store - called Traditional Online Store, or you can partner with suppliers who handle your orders and ship directly to the customers, without you actually having to handle anything or even hold inventory - called Drop shipping.  

​

With E-commerce you'll need to have an initial investment and if you choose to go with the traditional online store, you'll have to handle products , hold inventory, deal with refunds and returns, which can be less ideal for someone who wants to start with a very little investment, or doesn't want to handle payments and inventory. On the other hand Drop shipping is less risky and less complicated (you're the middle man), you don't even touch the product.

2). Service-Based Online Business 

It's all about selling services online - in other words you turn your skills into a pay-check, using what you already know, your skills and knowledge to offer services online which could be coaching, parenting, training 1:1, music, art, designs, etc. all from the comfort of your home.

With coaching business you're gone hold group webinars or 1:1 training and you've got them booked into a calendar, you're tied to a calendar, that's great for some people and not so great for someone that wants time freedom.  

​

3). Affiliate Marketing

Simply put you connect people who need something with the companies that have it (you connect the buyers with the sellers), by promoting other other people's products and services online and earning a commission for each sale or lead you generate.

​

Since it's a performance-based model, you only get paid when your efforts result in a successful sale or conversion.

This is how it works:

1. You have a unique code that will identify all the sales that come from your leads

2. Find affiliate products or services to promote

3. Promote products or services on various platforms 

4. Earn commission and get paid when someone makes a purchase from your link

​

Affiliate marketing offers an unparallel option for beginners and those who want to earn an online income that allows them to work from anywhere at their own pace and earn as much as they choose and without having to quit your job if that's what you want.  

​

For me personally, I started with affiliate marketing because of the low-risk and low start-up cost and earning potential. 

​

One of the biggest mistakes people do, in my opinion is to think that in order to get into business for yourself you need to quit your job strait away. While that's true in some cases, I think the safest way to start, especially if you have a family counting on you to bring home an income, is to keep your job for a little while longer and start a part time business . After you get momentum, you can swap the fulltime job for your part time one or ditch it all together if business goes well enough.

The Upside:

What attracted me the most to this online business model was 2 things:

-  compared to traditional business, it didn't require extensive experience or skills to start 

- opportunity to build and earn a passive income a with monthly residual income stream.

​

The Downside:

- you'll be competing with other affiliates and standing out requires creativity and developing unique ways to set yourself apart

- there is a learning curve when it comes to choosing what is best to promote,  creating content  and how to market strategically.

​

You can definitely learn some basics with the information from the internet and try to figure it out on your own...but for me not having any skills and previous experience it meant investing in a structured online program which provided me with a shortcut that helped me avoid overwhelm, wasting time and money on trial and error, was the best thing I've ever done!

There's two ways of marketing online - free marketing and paid marketing:

​

• Free marketing - also called Organic Marketing, is where you build your own audience and followers, so if you start an Instagram or YouTube channel you have no audience or followers to market to. The upside of the this is that you don't have to pay for marketing to your followers - high margins, but the down side is that it can take a long time to build your followers, it's unpredictable.
• Paid marketing - is a very simple concept - when you look at platforms like Facebook which has over 2 billion users, Google who has more than 2 billions searches a day, Instagram and YouTube have hundreds of millions users a day, you can pay these platforms for exposure and that means that you can have 10K people seeing your Ad in one day. With that exposure you can make sales faster, so the upside of this is that you get traction real quick, but the downside is that you spend money to do it, which is fine and it means you have to learn the skills to approach it methodically. 

​

Now...if you're going to do paid marketing, get a mentor, somebody that knows what they're doing and you'll succeed quicker than trying to figure this thing out and you'll avoid frustration and overwhelm...that's just my advise because that worked really well for me.  

Low-ticket vs High-ticket:

​

Simply put any commission of 100$ or under is considered a low ticket and anything above that which can be in hundreds or thousands in commission for one sell (with companies paying as high as 30 - 50% commission rates) is considered a high-ticket. 

​

So when you spend money on marketing for low and high-tickets, the most profitable is the high-ticket sale.

​

What about the Monthly Residual Income?  

​

A monthly residual income stream gives you more stability in your earning where you get paid monthly and it builds up steadily as you generate more sales.

​

So how does it work?

​

 OK, let's say you sold a product that has a monthly subscription of 100$ and you get 20$ commission. If you have just 50 sales a month, that can give you a 5 figure passive income yearly for work that have already been done - on complete autopilot every month, building up every month as you make more sales and as a result of that you'll generate money into your bank every month like clockwork.
